Okay so here are the PlayStation Plus free games of December 2023. Apart from letting you know the games that are going to be free next Tuesday, we want to give it a unique touch, for a change, in this Blog we want to express what we really think and not be biased by any company whatsoever, if we truly like something, then we will praise it, if we don’t, rest assured, we will drill it a new one. with that outta the way here is what we feel  about the PlayStation Plus lineup as of late, but for now let’s just describe a little bit each game.

So I read that the trio of games are Lego 2K Drive, power wash simulator and Sable Sony interactive entertainment was announced Wednesday, that’s today and players will be able to download these games next Tuesday, like I said December the 5th.

I mean true, we have not played any of these games to make a comment on them, but at the same time, the line up of games for PlayStation has been decadent at best for the last couple of years, and this is a problem, it has been a real problem. There was a time when you would look forward to the free games every month from the PlayStation Plus PSN PlayStation Network. But now, I really lost all interest as a hardcore gamer that I am, I’m letting you know that this is my last year of PlayStation Plus as a subscriber, not because of the higher prices that they demand now for the service, but for what it’s become. The games they’re giving away are trash, uninteresting  and rushed out the gate just to make a quick dollar.

I have an endless list of PlayStation games that have been given away for free to me because I’ve been a subscriber to the service for, God at least since 2014-2013, that makes it 10 years,  and I even made an Excel spreadsheet to keep track of all the quote on quote beautiful games that I have access to for free just by being a subscriber. That has sadly ended. You know what else ended and had a good run? I used to be a Trophy Hunter, with a passion. When I first picked up my PlayStation 3, and I learned about the trophy system in games, I immediately got hooked and thought: man, what a great way to maximize your gaming experience and to get everything out of a game that you pay for with your hard-earned money!. And don’t get me wrong, to this day I have in the avenue of 170-180 platinums  sitting on my original PlayStation Network account the one I created a decade ago.

The Problem

What’s my problem with today’s games, is that they lack purpose they lack soul… I don’t know, I really don’t know how to explain it, they feel like generic games rushed out the gate that, they slap a title on top and to hope that audiences and the masses will actually purchase them for a dollar in return of making some profit out of the s***** ass game. XD. There are a lot of Indie Studios out there, and don’t get me wrong, I’m not knocking on Indie developers, not at all, heck, we have excellent indie developers such as team sabotage with the now famous Sea of Stars. But in the grand majority of cases, indie games are a synonym of boring, uninteresting, short experiences.

Lego 2K Drive looks like a generic rip off Mario Kart and Gran Turismo. that’s it next game. Power Wash Simulator looks even more boring to play than to actually go do the same thing you’re trying to simulate, wash your car in a space suit just what the actual crap man! And Sable looks like a low budget indie title that won’t go past 10 to 12 hours… we’re sorry that’s how we feel about it.

Let me make a disclaimer here for a second, while you should never judge a book by its cover, that is proven with a lot of examples, we dare say that when you’ve been gaming for the many years that we’ve have, you attain this special ability or skill some might call it, where by simply looking at the games cover you can tell if it’s going to be s*** or not.

I mean do you guys remember back in the ’80s with the Nintendo Entertainment System, there was no internet back then, the only means of communication was magazines Nintendo power and all that? Point is you needed to have a third eye when you were out shopping for a video game, there was no YouTube Back Then that you can pull up a let’s play video and see if you’re going to like the game or not before the purchase.

No, No Such Thing existed. So again, we had to Resort to our intuition as Gamers, looking at the cover of the game, the title and imagining how the game would be like before popping it in our Nintendo Entertainment System. So that is a skill you might say that’s been building up and getting stronger for the past three decades now. And oh boy, trust us, we are so confident now, that we can spot a s***** game fairly quickly just by looking at its cover and title. With that said, I rest my case. The game line up for what seems to be the best season of the year, the holiday season, Christmas Eve and all that, we are being given boring ass games nobody asked for nobody knew they existed and that nobody wants.

I for one, will definitely not be, not even downloading the games, to try them out, because I got better games to play. Why would you play a s***** free game when you can be playing Octopath Traveler, Dragon Quest XI: Echoes of an Elusive Age, Final Fantasy 16, and I can keep going. The reason why I brought up trophy hunting in the first place is because it was very appealing at first, but as the years went by, it started to feel like a chore, and I would pick up games just for its platinum trophy, maybe I should do another post about this entirely because I don’t want to mix apple juice with lemonade, but you get the point.

Rena from star ocean the second story is surprised at something

So the question lies, are you, fellow reader, going to try out these games for PlayStation Plus?. If you do, please let us know. And if you think this has been an unjust rant, if you think one or even all of the games  for the December lineup  are actually great games and that we are full of it, then please do let us know down in the comments because like we said, it’s just our intuition telling us they’re not great games.

Well that’s about it for the rant, thanks so much for bearing with us. it was very fun to vent out through the magic and power of the internet. hopefully someone does read this hahaha and leave us your thoughts in the comments section. thank you very much until January Merry Christmas and to hope that we get better games in January, thank you goodbye!.
